Woman found dead in pickup truck in western Arkansas

WALDRON, Ark. (AP) – A woman has been found dead inside a pickup truck in western Arkansas and is believed to be a victim of homicide, according to Arkansas State Police.

A man who was reportedly seen driving the truck is being questioned about the case, according to a state police news release.

The body of Brehana Lee Duran, 24, of Booneville was found in the passenger seat of the truck near Waldron shortly after 4 a.m. Saturday by Scott County deputies investigating reports of gunfire in the area.

The release does not list a suspected cause of death and says the body is being sent to the state crime laboratory to determine the manner and cause of death.
