The snow has continued to fall in the Twin Lakes Area, and it is expected to continue for at least the remainder of the day. At KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot, the official reporting stations for the National Weather Service in Mountain Home, 3 additional inches of snow have hit the ground for a total of 6 inches since Sunday.

Meteorologist Jeff Hood from the National Weather Service office in North Little Rock says some portions of Arkansas have stopped seeing a wintry mix, but the North Central portion is not yet among them.

The entire area is under a winter storm warning until 6 p.m. Monday and a wind chill warning until 9 a.m. Tuesday. Lows could get below zero Tuesday morning, which would be the third consecutive record-setting day.

Hood says we’ll have a reprieve from the winter weather, but it will be brief.
