The Mountain Home Lady Bomber bowling team has captured the Class 5A State Bowling Championship with a 77-pin victory over the Benton Lady Panthers.Mountain Home finished with a 3,093 total pins, compared to Benton’s 3,016. Greenbrier was third at 2,990.
Aspen Thomas led Mountain Home with a seventh-place finish, and Jessica Rula was ninth, with both players earning All-State honors. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the tournament was completed over a three-day span at Hijinx Lanes in Jonesboro. Mountain Home recorded its scores on Wednesday and learned Friday the total held up to take the title.
The Bomber bowling team finished seventh in the boys’ tournament. No players earned All-State honors.
