The Mountain Home Christian Academy (MHCA) basketball teams brought home first and second-place trophies from the Ann S. Turner Community Center Invitational tournament this past weekend in Mansfield.
The Eagles won the tournament with five victories. MHCA defeated AGAPE 55-26 and Victory Academy 68-17 in pool play Friday. In bracket play on Saturday, the Eagles topped the Joplin Miners 62-37, Westwood Baptist 54-48 and in the finals, defeated the Rolla Royals 60-53.
The Lady Eagles finished second in the tournament. In pool play Friday, they topped Mountain Grove Christian 57-30 and the Rolla Royals 41-8. In Saturday’s bracket games, MHCA defeated Rolla 41-14 but lost to Westwood Baptist in the title game 42-35.
