MH finishes 5th in Ozark Softball Classic, Flippin finishes 3rd

The Mountain Home High School softball team wrapped up the Ozark Softball Classic on a winning note Saturday in Harrison taking the consolation title. The Lady Bombers pounded Springdale 12-4 in the morning session, and they later routed Cedar Ridge 14-1.

Flippin was able to capture third place in the tournament. The Lady Bobcats fell to Fort Smith Northside in the semifinals, but they later finished the tournament with a 7-2 win over Lincoln.
Maddie Lindsey took the win in the second game. Ella Alexander led Flippin’s offense by going three-for-three with three runs and an RBI, Trinity Warren was two-for-two with two doubles and two RBIs, Cheyenne Merkel provided two hits and drove in two runs, and Allie Downs added two hits including a double.
Flippin will travel to Melbourne on Monday for a doubleheader with the Lady Bearkatz and Tuckerman.
