Monday results include MH JV baseball team tying, freshmen beating Batesville

Two of Mountain Home’s baseball teams went on the road and competed against Batesville.
The high school junior varsity game ended in a 6-6 tie. Joseph Castellani went three-for-three for the JV Bombers with a stolen base and an RBI.
Mountain Home fared better in the freshman game tripling up Batesville 9-3. Jeff Hannaford picked up the win on the mound, and he also provided plenty of offense by driving in two runs. Corwin Morris added an RBI.

On the high school varsity baseball level, Norfork had a tough outing at home. The Panthers fell to Viola by a final of 6-0.

Bergman was able to pick up a win in a high-scoring game. The Panthers got past Green Forest 16-14.

In softball, Flippin suffered a 2-1 loss at Melbourne. The Lady Bearkatz did not fare as well in their other game falling to Tuckerman 4-2.

Salem grabbed a dominating victory on the road. The Lady Greyhounds went to Providence and pounded White County Central 15-2.

Calico Rock had a tough road trip. The Lady Pirates went to Greers Ferry and lost to West Side by a score of 5-0.

Izard County’s softball team had an easy road victory. The Lady Cougars beat up on Maynard 35-1.

Mammoth Spring was on the home field and ended up falling to Cedar Ridge 5-1. The Lady Bears drop to 4-3 on the season.

Mountain View also suffered a home loss on the softball diamond. The Lady Yellowjackets were toppled by Harding Academy 12-7.
