Earthquake recorded near Missouri-Tennessee border

A 1.2 magnitude earthquake was recorded early Friday morning along the Missouri-Tennessee border, the Center for Earthquake Research and Information at University of Memphis has reported.

The earthquake occurred at 2:16 a.m. at a depth of 8 kilometers. The epicenter was 0.8 miles southwest of Ridgely, Tennessee; 16.4 miles north-northwest of Dyersburg, Tennessee; 27.1 miles west-southwest of Union City, Tennessee; and 31.1 miles east of Kennett, Missouri.
