Thursday results include MH getting 2 of 3 softball wins over Southside Batesville

Mountain Home had two wins hosting Southside Batesville for three softball games on Thursday.
The Lady Bombers edged out the Lady Southerners 3-2 in the varsity game. Reagan Hasselwander, Josie Kelly and Mallorie Drewry each went one-for-two. Hasselwander also drove in two runs, and Drewry had a walk.
Mountain Home also took a three-inning junior varsity game 5-0 over Southside behind Emma Killian’s four-strikeout no-hitter. Hasselwander was two-for-two with three RBIs, Kelly went two-for-two and drove in two runs, Katie Camp ended up one-for-one with a walk, and Kiley Horne was one-for-one.
Mountain Home’s only loss was in the junior high game falling to Southside 3-0.

Elsewhere, Cotter was able to pick up a 17-11 victory over Yellville-Summit. The Lady Warriors are 17-11 on the season and 1-0 in the 2A-1.

Norfork had a rough day on the road. The Lady Panthers fell at Calico Rock 12-0.

Flippin was able to dominate a doubleheader over Decatur. The Lady Bobcats routed the Lady Bulldogs 17-0 in the first game and took the second game 15-0.

Viola won a high-scoring game on the road. The Lady Longhorns got past Concord 15-12.

Salem also came away with a road victory. The Lady Greyhounds went to Newark and beat Cedar Ridge 14-6.

Mammoth Spring swept a doubleheader over Armorel. The Lady Bears topped the Lady Tigers 11-4 in the first game, and Mammoth Spring got the 6-0 shutout win in the late game. Mammoth Spring is now 7-3 overall and 2-0 in the 1A-3.

Norfork had a good day on the baseball diamond. The Panthers were able to defeat Calico Rock 13-1.

It was all Viola at Concord on Thursday. The Longhorns destroyed the Pirates 21-3.

Salem picked up a baseball win at Newark. The Greyhounds tripled up Cedar Ridge 9-3.
