Sunday morning fire damages MH residence

A Sunday morning fire damaged a Mountain Home residence and destroyed a pickup truck parked in its carport. There were no injuries reported from the fire at 1039 South College Street.

According to a Mountain Home Fire Department spokesperson, the fire started around 7:40, and crews were on the scene for nearly four hours. The residence sustained 50% fire damage, 50% water damage and 100% smoke damage. The cause of the fire is under investigation, and the owner of the residence is yet to be determined.

The department had 22 fire personnel on the scene with two engines, a ladder vehicle and a rescue vehicle. Two other crew members were on standby.
