Malfunctioning motorcycle lands on top, injures driver

A Midway man was injured Monday when his malfunctioning motorcycle landed on top of him at a Baxter County residence. Robert Wolfe was transported by Baxter Regional ambulance personnel to Baxter Regional Medical Center.

According to the report from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, Wolfe was at the residence on Cherokee Place when the throttle got stuck as the motorcycle was in motion. The motorcycle collided with a railroad tie, struck a barbed-wire fence, collided with a ditch and landed on top of Wolfe.

Damage to the motorcycle from the 5:01 p.m. accident was estimated at $2,500.
