MHHS track teams win Wellman Relays in Pocahontas

The Mountain Home High School track teams had a successful day Thursday in Pocahontas as they won the Wellman Relays.

Individually for the Lady Bombers, Leah Hunt won the 3200-meter run, Emily Payne won the 800-meter run, Kamryn Mullin won the 400-meter dash, Jordan Ritenburg won the 1600-meter run and took second place in the 800-meter run, Kylee Sabella won the triple jump and finished third in the long jump and the 100-meter dash, Laurel Chafin won the 100-meter hurdles and ended third in the 300-meter hurdles, Riley Schmitz won the long jump and was tied for fourth in the 100-meter hurdles, Emma Wilber won the high jump and took fourth place in the 300-meter hurdles, Cayden Jones won the discus and ended up fifth in the shot put, Kinsey Taylor was second in the pole vault, Rylee Patterson ended up second in the 1600-meter run, Chloe Lydon finished second in the 3200-meter run, and Cate Jackson took second place in the 200-meter dash and fifth in the 100-meter dash. Also for Mountain Home, the team of Lydon, Hunt, Patterson and Payne won the 4×800-meter relay; Kendall Carter, Jackson, Sabella and Schmitz won the 4×200-meter relay; Carter, Chafin, Schmitz and Sabella wont he 4×100-meter relay; and Jackson, Mullin, Payne and Emma Martin won the 4×400-meter relay.

For the Bomber boys, Michael Davis won the pole vault, Brody Patterson won the 110-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles, Anderson Hodges won the 800-meter run, Whit Lawrence won the 3200-meter run, Dalton Schaufler won the triple jump and finished fourth in the long jump, Brayden Daniel finished second in the pole vault, Andrew Westphal ended up second in the 1600-meter run, Bryson Hodges took second place in the 800-meter run, Tyler Firment was third in the 3200-meter run, Hendrix Hughes finished third in the 1600-meter run, Bryce McKay ended up third in the high jump, and Dylan McBride took fourth place in the 300-meter hurdles. The team of Bryson Hodges, Firment, Lawrence and Anderson Hodges won the 4×800-meter relay; Tatem Beshears, Brady Barnett, Schaufler and McKay won the 4×200-meter relay; and Patterson, Schaufler, McKay and Daniel won the 4×400-meter relay.
