MH natives return home for college golf tourney

Three Mountain Home High School products have returned to their old stomping grounds to compete in the 2021 Battle at Big Creek hosted by Williams Baptist University.

Luke Jackson, Sydney Czanstkowski and Kenzie Collins are all members of the golf program at Lyon College in Batesville. Jackson shot a first-round 76 on Monday to help Lyon College stand in second place at 289, three shots back tournament leaders Missouri Baptist University.

Czanstkowski led the Lyon College squad with an 82 and Collins added an 86 as the Pipers were sixth in the Day 1 standings. Park University of Parkville, Mo., led the women’s standings with a team score of 328.

Missouri Baptist’s Tomas Ventieri of Chivilcoy, Argentina led the men’s standings with a 65. Kate Voss of College of the Ozarks and Laetitia Solombrino of Park University both shot 78 to lead the women’s competition.
