North Arkansas College will host a COVID-19 vaccination clinic for students on Wednesday, April 14 from 9 a.m.- 2p.m. in the John Paul Hammerschmidt Conference Center at 1515 Pioneer Drive in Harrison. Current and recently admitted Northark students can sign up to get vaccinated. The student must be 16 years of age or older and parental consent is required for those age 16 and 17.
The first dose of the Pfizer vaccine will be administered at the clinic. Another clinic will be scheduled to administer the second dose in a few weeks. Vaccines will be administered by Northark health professions instructors and students.
“The clinics weve held on campus this year have brought thousands of people through Northarks doors,” said Northark President Randy Esters. “We have thoroughly enjoyed hosting the clinics to keep everyone safe and healthy, and we have been eagerly anticipating the day when we could offer the vaccine to our students.”
Students should check their email for details on how to sign up. There is no out-of-pocket cost to students, but they should bring their insurance card to the clinic. Students will be asked to remain on-site for a short observation period. Northark admissions and financial aid staff will be available to assist students who want to register for summer or fall classes while they are on campus.
Northark is working in partnership with North Arkansas Regional Medical Center and Boone County Health Department to offer vaccination clinics to improve the health of the community.
