Yellville-Summit girls, Clinton boys win Bomber Invitational

Mountain Home High School’s junior varsity track teams hosted the Bomber Invitational on Friday.

The J.V. Lady Bombers finished second in the girls’ team standings. Yellville-Summit won the meet, Salem was third, Bakersfield ended up sixth, Flippin took seventh place, Norfork finished ninth, Bergman was 11th, Harrison ended up 12th, and Ozark Mountain took 13th place. Kambree Gibson of Yellville-Summit was the high point winner.

Mountain Home’s Victoria Bevel won the javelin with teammate Laurel Chafin finishing second, and Alex Kowiti of Bakersfield was third. In the 800-meter run, Mountain Home’s Chloe Lydon was the winner, Madi Hopson of Flippin ended up second, and Britney Jenkins of Mountain Home took third place. Yellville-Summit’s Gibson won the 300-meter hurdles, Kasey Moody of Norfork finished second, Bergman’s Keira Dees was third, Ashton Yeager of Bakersfield ended up fourth, and Tara Yocham of Ozark Mountain rounded out the top five. Gibson also won the 100-meter dash, Bakersfield’s Jaden Hall took second place, Grayson Havner of Norfork finished third, Flippin’s Emma Mears was fourth, and Amber Yates of Salem ended up fifth. Another win for Gibson came in the triple jump, Yeager took second place, Jacey Davenport of Yellville-Summit finished third, Dees was fourth, and Flippin’s Kiley Johnson ended up fifth. Gibson notched another victory in the 100-meter hurdles, Dees took third place, Havner finished fourth, and Mountain Home’s Kendall Carter completed the top five. Yellville-Summit’s Janet Ridley, Avery Dearmore and Jordan Senn finished first through third in the discus, and Mountain Home’s Alianna King and Bevel were fourth and fifth, respectively. Davenport won the long jump followed by Gibson, and Marleigh Sellars of Salem ended up fifth. Bevel took second place in the shot put, Dearmore finished second, Senn was fourth, and Hannah Bryant of Norfork ended up fifth. Mountain Home was represented in the pole vault by Joia Traver in second place and Kelsey Roach in fourth, and Kiara Doshier of Yellville-Summit finished fifth. Harrison’s Alex Hill won the 400-meter dash, Sellars was second, and Davenport ended up fourth. Sarah Young of Salem took second place in the 1600-meter run, Mountain Home’s Roach and Cayla McMaster finished third and fourth respectively, and Yuki Beller of Salem was fifth. Mountain Home’s Kylee Sabella ended up third in the high jump, and Chloe Taylor of Salem took fourth place. Amanda Thompson of Flippin finished fifth in the 3200-meter run. Flippin’s team of Hopson, Johnson, Mears and Thompson won the 4×800-meter relay. Taylor, Sellars, Yates and Maddie Keen of Salem won the 4×200-meter relay; Bakersfield’s Jasmine Hall, Averie Maynard, Nautica Smith and Kaylei Tucker were second, and Yellville-Summit’s Senn, Ridley, Dearmore and Davenport ended up third.

Clinton won the boys’ side of the meet, Yellville-Summit took second place, Mountain Home finished third, Salem was fifth, Bakersfield and Bergman ended up part of a three-way tie for sixth, Ozark Mountain took ninth place, Flippin finished 10th, Marshall was 12th, and Norfork ended up 13th. The high point winner was Yellville-Summit’s Holiday Deroshier.

Mountain Home’s Cody Abel won the javelin followed by teammate Sam Morton, and Aidan Tiller of Bakersfield ended up third. Deroshier won the 110-meter hurdles, Elijah Romine of Salem took second place, and Bergman’s Camden Keymer finished fifth. Kirk Knapp of Yellville-Summit won the shot put followed by teammate Tyler Barrett, Tyler Siddons of Salem was fourth, and Abel ended up fifth. Barrett won the discus, Bergman’s Jaxon Savage took second place, Knapp finished fourth, and Cody Elumbaugh of Mountain Home was fifth. Yellville-Summit’s Caiden Curtis won the pole vault, and Tate McReynolds of Mountain Home ended up fifth. Salem’s Luke Keen won the 200-meter dash, Deroshier took third place, Jacob Freiman of Bakersfield finished fourth, and Rathe Vanbuskirk of Salem was fifth. Bergman’s Cameron Grisham won the triple jump, and Deroshier ended up second. Mountain Home’s took second place in the 1600-meter run, teammate Darren Blount finished fourth, and Dominic Sellers of Flippin was fifth. Deroshier ended up second in the long jump, Mountain Home’s Tomas Seamans took fourth place, and Bakersfield’s Jacob Watlington finished fifth. Deroshier was second in the 300-meter hurdles, and Romine ended up fourth. Lucas McVay of Yellville-Summit took second place in the 3200-meter run, and Mountain Home’s Alex Hester finished fourth. Keen was second in the 100-meter dash with teammate Vanbuskirk ending up fourth, and Evann Dean of Ozark Mountain took fifth place. Mountain Home’s Ty Lawrence finished third in the 800-meter run, and teammate Trey Czeschin was fifth. Dagyn Williams of Marshall ended up fourth in the 400-meter dash. Grisham took fourth place in the high jump, and Deroshier rounded out the top five. Bakersfield’s Freiman, Myles McGhee, Kaden Tryon and Ryan Wade won the 4×200-meter relay; Steven Cox, Romine, Lewis Allman and Cameron Waltrip finished third; and Yellville-Summit’s Briten Roberts, Robert Howell, Kayden Geier and Javen Keymer were fourth. Silas Bouchard, Tiller, Wade and Tryon of Salem ended up second in the 4×400-meter relay; and Ozark Mountain’s Walker Collins, Marcus Fields, Keagan Wiseman and Quinton Willis took third place. Vanbuskirk, Keen, Cox and Romine of Salem finished second in the 4×100-meter relay; Bakersfield’s Freiman, McGhee, Tryon and Watlington were third; and Mason Camp, Daniel Jones, Morton and Parker Wise of Mountain Home ended up fifth. Flippin’s Aidan Browne, Pepe Galvan, Sawyer Williamson and Logan Perry took fifth place in the 4×800-meter relay.
