$10,000 Arvest Foundation grant to benefit Mountain Home Chamber

The North Central Arkansas Chamber Foundation will be able to make substantial technology upgrades thanks to a $10,000 grant made by the Arvest Foundation.

The gift was announced recently and will help the North Central Arkansas Chamber Foundation upgrade computers, install software and purchase camera and video equipment. These improvements will allow the Mountain Home Area Chamber of Commerce to help support and promote local businesses.

“North Central Arkansas Chamber Foundation exists to support the efforts of the chamber,” Mountain Home Area Chamber of Commerce president and CEO Danielle Pugsley said.“This grant will catapult our work at the chamber with much-needed technology upgrades, enabling us to streamline and enhance processes. In turn, we will be able to add value to our chamber members through quality online and digital promotion of local businesses and the Twin Lakes Area.”

Sally Gilbert, community president for Arvest in Mountain Home, said the grant complements other efforts Pugsley has led this year, including a community-wide re-branding project aimed at attracting new businesses and residents.

“Clearly evidenced by the shared experience that was 2020, we know the important role that technology will continue to play in the development of new business as well as the promotion of current business,” Gilbert said. “On behalf of the Arvest Foundation, we are excited to present this donation to the North Central Arkansas Chamber Foundation and are proud to show our support for the thriving efforts of Dani, her staff and the chamber board of directorsin helping drive positive change within our local community.”
