While the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has loosened guidelines for fully vaccinated individuals, it is maintaining masking recommendations for certain facilities, including all healthcare settings.

Due to those guidelines, all Baxter Regional Medical Center (BRMC) facilities will continue to adhere to mask requirements, according to a statement from BRMC.

The CDC’s latest recommendations for masks are: fully vaccinated people no longer need to wear a mask or physically distance in any setting, indoors or outdoors. However, CDC continues to recommend masks be worn where required by federal, state, local, tribal or territorial laws, rules and regulations, including local businesses and workplaces; such places include healthcare settings, planes or public transit, correctional facilities or homeless shelters.

Mask requirements also remain in effect for the Mountain Home Public School District for the remainder of the 2020-21 school year.
