A Searcy County man is behind bars, charged with rape and incest. Thirty-year-old Devin Lars Williams of Marshall is being held on a quarter of a million dollars bond.
Searcy County Sheriff Kenny Cassell says the investigation began last Friday when a twelve year-old female contacted law enforcement and alleged she had been sexually assaulted on May 29 by Williams, who is a semi-truck driver.
According to the victim, the sexual assault occurred in Marshall, inside the sleeping compartment of the semi-truck owned by Williams. The victim alleges other assaults took place in Oxley and Marshall in Searcy County, and in Timbo in Stone County, over the last two years.
Marshall Police arrested Williams in the vehicle Friday as he was attempting to leave the state.
Sheriff Cassell says the allegations made to law enforcement concerning activity in Stone County are currently under investigation by multiple agencies.
