Sample, Smith, Jackson win MH Charity Golf Classic

The Mountain Home Charity Golf Classic was held Saturday at Big Creek Golf and Country Club.

Joey Sample, Geoffrey Smith and Luke Jackson won the Championship Flight with a total of 29-under-par 115. Nick Coleman, Matt Kelly and Brandon Maple won the tiebreaker for second place over Lance Coffman, David Schallenberg and Andrew Gillespie after both teams ended up two strokes back.

Robert Pavlicek, Bill McGuire and Laura Vela captured the A Flight with a 19-under-par 125. Josh and Jayme Hopkins and Brad Bridgers beat John and Seth Sullivant and John Reynolds in the tiebreaker for second as both teams were three strokes back.

Eric Knight, Chris Bradley and Erik Tuft took the B Flight with a 12-under-par 132. Robert Gunn, Guy Lord and Darrell Sittig were two strokes back to finish second, and Blaine Herron, Mike Culley and Eddie Helmert beat Ron Richardson, Jerry Pledger and Jerry Schmidt in the tiebreaker for third place with both teams at nine-under-par 135.

Jim Maycunich, Eli Barrow and James Fiscus took the tiebreaker over Martin Brown, Lee Valdez and Mike Henry to win the C Flight after both teams had a nine-under-par 135. Kevin Lind, Harvey Hughes and Mark Stallard beat Greg Ashcraft, Wesley Bridges and Buddy Lovell to capture the tiebreaker for third place after both teams ended up two strokes off the lead.

Derek and Michael MacKenzie and Jeff McDaniel won the tiebreaker over Wayne Bryant, Jim Swearingen and Tom McGill to take the D Flight after both teams shot a 148. Mark Zimmerman, Kelly Greer and Scott Savage captured the tiebreaker for third place over David Webb, Jack Coles and Ty Clary as both teams were three strokes back.
