Cooper Park will be a busy place through the weekend as one of the area’s biggest sporting events returns. Ten American Legion baseball teams will gather Thursday for the opening day of the 35th-annual Mickey Huskey Twin Lakes Classic.
Mountain Home Lockeroom head coach Lester White says he is looking forward to having the tournament with fewer restrictions than a year ago.

The Lockeroom begins pool play by taking on Eureka, Missouri. The first pitch at Lester White Field is scheduled for 8 p.m.
In the earlier games, North Central Arkansas and Branson get underway at 11 a.m., Batesville meets Russellville at 1:15, Paragould faces Bartlesville, Oklahoma, at 3:30, and the Tropics from Scott City, Missouri, takes on Pontotoc, Mississippi, at 5:45.
