A Mountain Home woman found passed out and slumped over the steering wheel of her pickup truck in late March appeared in Baxter County Circuit Court Monday.

Thirty-five-year-old Amber Eads, who has had a number of felony drug charges filed against her, was most recently arrested March 24 just before 4 p.m.

The new case triggered the filing of a petition to revoke her probation handed down in an earlier drug case.

Eads admitted she had violated the terms and conditions of her probation and Circuit Judge John Putman revoked her probation and sentenced her to four years in prison.

In her latest arrest, she was reported to have had drugs and drug paraphernalia in the truck, including a large plastic bag holding almost 35 grams of suspected methamphetamine.

Mountain Home police were called to Driftwood Lanes after Eads was discovered passed out in a pickup truck on the parking lot.

The officer reported knocking on the side window of the truck, but Eads did not appear to be “responding too well.”

In checking on Eads the officer noticed a number of small plastic bags in the console beside her.

After a short time, the officer reported opening the door to assess Eads’ condition.

According to the probable cause affidavit, the officer was able to wake Eads up. He said she was sweating profusely from being in the truck with the windows rolled up.

When she finally got out of the truck, the officer said he “could tell she was impaired from something.”

Eads initially claimed she was only tired.

In addition to the large quantity of methamphetamine, Eads was also found to have digital scales; seven used syringes and a number of unused small plastic bags in the truck.

According to the probable cause affidavit, after the drugs and paraphernalia were found, Eads did admit to taking a tranquilizer.

Eads has a fairly long history of drug arrests and convictions.

She has often been arrested in the company of males who have also been convicted on drug-related charges, including Jason Biddle, Christopher Jorsch, William Lewis, Jr., and Nicholas Kanta.
