There’s plenty of fun and fireworks across the Twin Lakes Area this Fourth of July weekend.

Fireworks displays are planned on both Norfork and Bull Shoals lakes this weekend, as well as in at least eight cities in the listening area. All of the shows are scheduled to begin at dusk, which is currently about 9 p.m. A list of area fireworks shows can be found at KTLO.com.

As a reminder, it is against the law in Mountain Home and some other cities for most private citizens to shoot off fireworks. In Mountain Home, a city permit is required and the display must be under the direction of a certified pyrotechnic technician.

The Lake Norfork Independence Eve Fireworks Show will be discharged between the Highway 62 and Highway 101 bridges on Saturday evening, with patriotic music synchronized to the display carried on 99.7 The Boot. The annual event is presented by the Lake Norfork Fireworks Association and is funded through community donations.

Flippin’s annual fireworks show will also be held Saturday at Hickey Park. That show is operated by the Flippin Fire Department.

The Calico Rock Lion’s Club will hold the city’s annual fireworks show Saturday evening at Earl King Memorial Park.

The City of Mountain View’s fireworks show can also be seen Saturday night, with that event being held at the Stone County Fairgrounds.

Theodosia will hold its fireworks display Saturday night at the Theodosia Marina-Resort.

Four more fireworks shows are planned for Sunday. All of those shows are also scheduled to begin at dusk.

The annual fireworks show over Bull Shoals Lake will be held Sunday evening. The public may park and enjoy the fireworks display from the day use area of Bull Shoals-White River State Park. Other viewing areas include Bull Shoals Dam, the James A. Gaston Visitor Center, and boats may view the fireworks from the Lakeview and Promise Land lake areas. If a spectator can see the Bull Shoals Dam, then they should be able to see the fireworks.

Driftwood Lanes in Mountain Home will hold its annual fireworks display Sunday evening as well. The bowling center is located at 2998 Highway 62 East.

The fireworks portion of Harrison’s “Fire in Sky” celebration will be held Sunday night at the city’s Anstaff Soccer Complex.

The City of Salem will also hold its fireworks show Sunday night. The fireworks will be fired off the top of the Salem Knob, which is the big hill in the middle of town with the communication towers on it. Spectators may view the display from Salem City Park.

The forecast for the weekend calls for clear conditions with just a slight chance of rain either Saturday or Sunday night.
