100+ golfers compete in Pink Ball Benefit Tournament

The Pink Ball Club Benefit Tournament was held Saturday at Twin Lakes Golf Course. The tournament ended up with a total of 112 golfers.

Ken Armstrong, Larry Kelley, Dave Trammell and Wally Koskinen won the tiebreaker over Mike Bailey, Adam Fisher, Isaac Gaston and Brad Heinsohn to take the men’s first flight after both teams finished with a 58. Ed Zacarias, Kevin Kopacz, Jim Jenkins and Jeff Clayton were two strokes back to end up third.

A tiebreaker was also needed for the men’s second flight after two teams finished with a 62. Jeff Schlote, Chad Merriman, Matt Green and Landon Booy won the card-off over Bucky Tilley, Buck Wood, Jay Crawford and Jesse Parnell. Joe Durham, Richard Mell, Phil Hamby and Jimmy Clifford were third with a 63.

Max Wilkins, Drew Baledge, Patrick Garinger and Ron Hoebbel captured the men’s third flight with a 66. Runners-up Nolan Radcliff, Justin Haight, Mike House and Dan Chetnik were one stroke back, and Jim Hartzer, Bill Broderson, Brian Kahre and Dewayne Eagle took third place with a 68.

Scott and Lorel Koplin, Casey Stahlman and Brian Radcliff won the mixed flight with a 60. Robbie and Alyssa Robbins and Cindy and Paul Chilson were three strokes off the lead for a second place finish. Jason and Wendy Titterington, Daren Means and Keith Lewis ended up third with a 67.

Melissa Johnson, Jane Carlson, Bobbie Lent and Doris Haggerty won the women’s flight. The team took the title after shooting a 72.

Bailey, Fisher, Gaston and Heinsohn ended up with the lowest pink ball score at 70. In addition, Chetnik was the closest to the hole on Hole 2, and Zacarias was the closest to the squiggly line on Hole 12.

Proceeds will help pay for improvements to Twin Lakes Golf Course.
