BCSO investigating death of Gamaliel woman

Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery has announced authorities are investigating the death of a 46-year-old woman Friday night in Gamaliel.

According to a news release, EMS was dispatched to a residence on Fout Road for a nonresponsive female. Deputies arrived on scene and found the woman to be deceased and the Baxter County Coroner’s Office was called.

The sheriff identified the deceased as Marni K. Stubbs of Gamaliel. Stubbs had been discovered by her boyfriend, who called 911 and began CPR.

The release says the body has been sent to the Arkansas State Medical Examiner’s Office in Little Rock for autopsy in an attempt to determine the cause and manner of death.
