MHJH football teams split games at home against Lighthouse Christian

The Mountain Home 7th and 8th grade football teams split their games at home Monday evening against Lighthouse Christian from Springfield.

Mountain Home won a high scoring 7th grade game 48-28 to improve to 2-1 on the season.

Quarterback Gaige Wilson had a big night with 226 yards and four touchdowns through the air plus three two-point conversions. Elijah Hillstrom finished with 130 yards on the ground and two touchdowns, Gus Wilber had 174 receiving yards and three touchdown catches, Aiden Hutchens had a 46-yard TD reception and Trae Holliday added a pair of two-point conversions.

Defensively, Ford Coleman and Will Rauls each had a fumble recovery and Jake Thomas had an interception.

In the 8th grade game, Lighthouse Christian topped Mountain Home 52-13.
