Mountain Home wins pair of volleyball matches at Russellville

The Mountain Home High School volleyball teams picked up a pair of wins at Russellville Thursday night in 5A West Conference action.

In the varsity match, Mountain Home prevailed 3-2, winning by scores of 21-25, 25-20, 25-17, 17-25 and 15-8.  The win moves Mountain Home to 9-1 overall and 3-1 in conference play.

Katelyn Hill had 14 kills and served six aces; Lindsay Jensen had 11 kills, nine digs and 28 assists; Kendall Carter finished with five blocks, six kills and 19 digs; Georgia Burnham collected 14 kills; Tatum Smith had nine blocks; Riley Schmitz finished with 25 digs; Cate Jackson had 14 digs; and Carson Schmitz had 13 digs and 16 assists.

In the junior varsity match, Mountain Home topped Russellville by scores of 25-19 and 25-23.

Lauren Wehmeyer had six kills, Emma Wilber and Jordan Massie each had five kills, Lily Hinson finished with 14 digs, Emma Crabb amassed 10 digs and 24 assists and Abby Green had six digs.
