Crews are scheduled to begin overnight construction on the Cotter bypass on Monday. According to a representative from White River Materials, work will be performed on U.S. Highway 62/412 between the hours of 7 p.m. and 7 a.m., and this time frame will continue through its completion.
Crews will work on the main stretch of the highway between each of the turn-offs for U.S. Highway 62B of the Cotter business district, and it mainly includes the areas leading up to and off the White River bridge. Once the section is completed, construction will return to normal daytime hours.
Motorists traveling on this portion of Highway 62/412 during the overnight construction hours are asked to be cautious of workers on-site, reduce the travel speed and adhere to all posted signage and caution cones marking temporarily closed lanes.
