Area teams did well Tuesday night at the Bad Boy Mowers Classic at Izard County High School, winning three of four games.
The Calico Rock boys started their season with a 76-39 blowout win over Maynard.
The Calico Rock girls suffered a loss in their season opener, falling to Maynard 54-26.
Both Mammoth Spring teams picked up wins. The Bears squeaked by Mt. Vernone Enola 54-51. Blake Rogers led a balanced scoring attack with 16 points, Brayden Cray scored 13 and Gavin Boddie added 11 points.
The Mammoth Spring girls posted a 54-26 victory over Mt. Vernon Enola. Brynn Washam paced the Lady Bears with 24 points and Megyn Upton scored 12.
The Mammoth Spring teams will play at Sloan-Hendrix Friday.
At the Bobby Hulse Memorial Classic at Norfork, the Norfork boys lost their season opener, falling to Kingston 42-36.
Both Lead Hill teams lost to Bay. Bay won the boys’ game 60-44 and took the girls’ contest 63-49.
