Two people wanted in connection with a fatal shooting in Boone County last week have been apprehended.

A spokesperson for the Searcy County Sheriff’s Office says 49-year-old Lee Stockstill and his female companion, 38-year-old Heather Dawn Scallion, were apprehended on Circle H Road in Searcy County. Stockstill and Scallion are wanted in connection with the shooting death of 59-year-old Boone County resident Tim Blackburn.

The two were apprehended at 3:25 Thursday afternoon by Sheriff Cassell and Drug Task Force agents Macy Brown and Heath Jones.

Cassell says the manhunt in Searcy County began on Oct. 14 when he located Stockstill’s vehicle on U.S. Hwy. 65 in St. Joe and gave chase following a BOLO (be on the lookout) out of Boone County.

As other units responded to assist, Stockstill turned into Grinder’s Ferry, where he and Scallion bailed out of their vehicle and fled into the nearby woods.

Stockstill and Scallion were taken to the Searcy County Detention Center for processing.

Cassell extends his sincere thanks to all the agencies involved in the manhunt.
