One of the Baxter Regional Hospital Foundation’s four community houses is on a mission to help women through all stages of life find a pathway for complete wellness and balance in everyday life. The Schliemann Center for Women’s Health Education has support groups and classes designed to inspire and motivate women to make positive changes and support women in all aspects of life and health.

The classes and support groups offered at the Schliemann Center focus on such topics as babysitting, breastfeeding, childbirth, menopause, nutrition, wellness and heart health. Programs offered throughout the year include Girls’ Night Out, Teen Girls Go To College, Tell Your Mom, Working Women in the Know and Schliemann Learning Sessions.

Some groups at the center offer both a bit of entertainment to go along with an educational value. One such group is the Novel Women’s Book Club. Schliemann Center Coordinator Stefany Isham was a recent guest of the Talk of the Town on KTLO-FM, and she says the club offers two books to read each month.
