High school basketball makes up much of the local Friday schedule, and for Mountain Home, it’s the first road test of the conference slate. The Bombers and Lady Bombers will be near the Oklahoma line, as they meet Van Buren.
Mountain Home’s girls are 3-12 on the season and 0-2 in the 5A-West. The Lady Bombers suffered a 12-point loss to Vilonia on Tuesday. Van Buren is 5-8 and 0-2. The Lady Pointers most recently got beat up at Greenwood.
The Mountain Home boys are 2-12 overall and 0-2 in the league. The Bombers are coming off a 17-point defeat to Vilonia. Van Buren is 8-6 and 1-1. The Pointers suffered a three-point overtime loss at Greenwood three days ago.
The junior varsity boys’ game tips off at 4:45 at Clair Bates Athletic Arena. The varsity contests begin around 6 on Classic Hits 101.7 and streaming live at ktlo.com and on the Bomber Sports Network channel on YouTube.
