1 boil order lifted, 2 remain in place

One area boil order has been lifted, two remain in place.

The boil order for a portion of Fulton County Water Association has been lifted as of Friday morning. The order, which affected customers on Young Road, Big Oak Lane, Ridgewood Lane and Valley Wood Lane was issued Tuesday due to a lightning strike.

The boil order for the other portion of Fulton County Water Association remains in place. That order, affecting customers for Sycamore and Magnolia Roads, was issued Wednesday due to a lightning strike.

A boil order for Morning Star Water Association also remains in place. The order affects customers in Marshall from Password Road on Highway 14 North through Rock Creek and Coza Home. The order was issued Tuesday due to a water line break and will remain in place until further notice.

All affected customers are advised the water may be unsafe for human consumption and water used for drinking or food preparation must be boiled briskly for one minute prior to use. All ice cubes should be discarded and only boiled water used for making ice.
