Two boil water orders have been lifted and another remains in place. The order for Brunner Hill Water Association in Baxter County, including all customers on Jordan Road, has been lifted as of Friday morning at 10:45.

According to a spokesperson, the order was issued Tuesday due to a water main break reported near the Jordan Grocery Store.

The boil order for a portion of Parthenon Water Association in Newton County has also been lifted as of Friday at noon.

The order was issued last Friday due to a water line break and for tank maintenance. The areas impacted included Gum Springs Road, Smith Mountain Road, Lone Beech Road and Murray Road.

An order issued for another portion of Parthenon Water Association remains in place. The area affected includes customers served by the Gum Springs Road tank. This order has been in effect since May 25 due to a water line break and will remain in place until further notice.

All affected customers are advised the water may be unsafe for human consumption and water used for drinking or food preparation must be boiled briskly for one minute prior to use. All ice cubes should be discarded and only boiled water used for making ice.
