A male is being sought in Fulton County after allegedly attempting to bite his girlfriend’s lip off. Thirty-one-year-old Deonte Scott is facing a felony count of aggravated assault.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Fulton County deputies responded May 27 to an ongoing altercation along 9 Mile Ridge Road.

Dispatch stated a witness advised he was unloading groceries when he heard a cry for help in a woman’s voice. He ran to where the scream was coming from in the roadway when he witnessed a man and woman in a physical altercation. The witness stated the victim was standing against a vehicle holding an icepack to her lip.

While speaking with the victim regarding the incident, she allegedly stated her ex-boyfriend, identified as Scott, bit her lower lip. Due to the severity of the injured lip an ambulance was called to the scene.

The victim stated at first things were going well between her and Scott when some unwanted words were shared and he allegedly began bashing her head on the back of his four-wheeler and threw her into the water twice. The victim stated at one point she fell unconscious and woke up in the water.

The victim then stated Scott allegedly saying something then grabbing her neck and biting her face “trying to rip her lip off like a dog.” The victim added she again lost consciousness and at some point remembered walking and screaming for help.

Scott fled the scene on foot prior to the arrival of authorities.

After running information through the Arkansas Crime Information Center it was determined Scott to have four more felony convictions.

Scott is also being classified as a habitual offender. His bond will be set at $25,000.
