The Arkansas Department of Health has issued a boil water order for part of a water system in Stone County.
The boil water order is for customers of the Fifty Six Waterworks for the area east of the water tower, including along State Highway 14, Roasting Ear Road, Mitchell Road, Gaylor Road, and State Highway 87.
The boil order was issued Thursday due to a main break and will remain in effect until further notice.
All affected customers are advised the water may be unsafe for human consumption and water used for drinking or food preparation must be boiled briskly for one minute prior to use. All ice cubes should be discarded and only boiled water used for making ice.
