High school football makes up much of the local Friday schedule, and for Mountain Home, a time change has been made for their Senior Night game. The Bombers will host Greenbrier to finish the regular season, and the kickoff at Bomber Stadium is scheduled for 4 due to the threat of weather.
Mountain Home, after being down 28 at halftime last week, scored 29 unanswered points to defeat Van Buren by one. The Bombers are currently 2-7 on the season and 2-5 in the 6A-West, putting them in sixth place in the conference. Greenbrier is 2-7 and 1-6 and tied for seventh in the league with Van Buren.
If Mountain Home wins, they will advance to the playoffs. If the Bombers lose, they will need Van Buren to defeat Siloam Springs and rely on the tiebreaker system. Mountain Home head coach Steve Ary says he and his staff have made sure their players know what’s in store.
