6 area athletes, 2 coaches selected in 1st round of All-Star rosters

The first round of rosters has been released for the Arkansas High School Coaches Association All-Star Games for the summer, and the Twin Lakes Area will be represented by six athletes and two coaches.

Two area girls will be on the sidelines for the football game as All-Star dancers. Mountain Home’s Brooke Queen will be on the West squad, and Tessa Turner will represent Mountain View for the East.

The football game will include four area athletes and two area coaches on the East roster. Izard County’s Malachi Cruz and Tyler Hill are scheduled to play, and they’ll be joined by Carter Bray and Trey Wren of Melbourne. In addition, Izard County head coach Jared Johnson and Melbourne coach Stu Smith will serve as assistant coaches for the East under Sean Cockrell of Valley View.

All-Star Week is scheduled for June 23 and 24 on the campus of the University of Central Arkansas in Conway.
