A body found in a vehicle in the White River has been identified as an Independence County woman. Izard County Sheriff Charley Melton says no foul play is suspected in the death of 52-year-old Anita Farrier of Southside.
Sheriff Melton says his office received a message from the Stone County Sheriff’s Office around 6:35 Sunday morning of a possible vehicle in the river at Sylamore. Stone County authorities, along with Arkansas Game and Fish officers and the Sylamore/Allison Fire Department, reportedly located the vehicle with Farrier’s body inside. The vehicle was pulled to the bank in Izard County.
The investigation into Farrier’s death is ongoing.
