Tuesday basketball results include MHCA getting swept by Omaha

Mountain Home Christian Academy had a rough night on Tuesday as they were swept in a pair of basketball games by another group of Eagles from Omaha.
Mountain Home Christian lost the boys’ game 90-50. Jordan Woods was Mountain Home Christian’s top scorer with 20 points, and Riley Peglar had 10.
Mountain Home Christian did not fare any better in the girls’ contest as they fell to Omaha 60-16.

Cotter had mixed results as they hosted Yellville-Summit for Senior Night.
The Warriors got past the Panthers in the boys’ game with a 55-50 victory, and all three of their senior were in double figures. Hudson Adams paced Cotter with 18 points, Trace Ewing provided 12, and Payton McGee finished with 10.
Cotter was not as fortunate in the girls’ contest. The Lady Warriors were toppled by Yellville-Summit 54-38.

Flippin ended up splitting their high school games with West Fork on Senior Night. The Lady Bobcats put the mercy rule in effect as they routed West Fork 55-24. The boys’ game had a different result as Flippin lost to West Fork 75-65.

The Gainesville High School teams split their Senior Night games with Fordland. The Bulldogs dominated the Eagles 66-38 in the boys’ game. Gainesville’s girls were not as fortunate as they fell to Fordland 58-40.

Ozark Mountain was able to sweep its games at Haas Hall-Bentonville. The Lady Bears put the mercy rule in effect as they destroyed the Lady Huskies 83-13. The Ozark Mountain boys later breezed past Haas Hall-Bentonville 79-54.

Izard County ended up getting swept as they went to Shirley on Tuesday.
The Lady Cougars lost to the Lady Blue Devils 57-52. Izard County was led by Quinn Johnson with 23 points, and Tinley Bailey added 10.
Izard County’s boys also fell to Shirley 74-65. Kasen Black was the Cougars’ leading scorer with 22 points, and Jude Everett chipped in 14.

Marshall had mixed results in their Senior Night games with South Side-Bee Branch. The Lady Bobcats topped the Lady Hornets 52-41. Marshall did not have as good of a night in the boys’ contest as they fell to South Side 78-69.

Mountain View had a good night as they went to Newark and swept Cedar Ridge. The Yellowjackets had an easy win in the boys’ game as they beat the Timberwolves 81-60. Mountain View also took the girls’ contest 60-47.

Lead Hill’s boys went on the road and pounded Mount Judea 77-37. Kaden Baker led Lead Hill with 26 points and 14 rebounds, Jayce Williams scored 16 points, Quintin Sewell had 14, and Mason Cain provided 12.

Bergman had a short but successful trip as they pulled off the sweep at Valley Springs. The Panthers won the boys’ game over the Tigers 62-51. Bergman also took the girls’ contest 43-33.
