MHPS Board of Education approves millage measure for May ballot


Thursday night, the Mountain Home Public Schools Board of Education decided to ask the residents of the district for another millage increase of 2.25 mills. This measure will be placed on the May 9 ballot along with the already-scheduled school board member election.

Superintendent Dr. Jake Long spoke with KTLO’s Heather Loftis about the vote and how its different time around.

The Board also approved the hire of new Hackler Intermediate School Principal, Kristyn Goodwin. She has served as both counselor and dean of students since the building opened. Goodwin spoke with KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot News about her new role at the school.
