One driver was killed, and the other was injured in a two-vehicle accident Friday afternoon in Boone County. Twenty-year-old Michael Rogers of Omaha was pronounced dead, and 70-year-old Diane Webber of Lead Hill was transported by ambulance to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.
According to the Arkansas State Police, Rogers was traveling on Arkansas Highway 14. He was east of Omaha when his vehicle reportedly crossed the center line and struck the vehicle driven by Webber.
The road was dry, and the weather was cloudy at the time of the 12:59 p.m. accident.
