Eligible Arkansans have spent $45.2 million on medical marijuana throughout the state’s 38 dispensaries during the first two years of 2023. A total of $23.1 million was spent in January and $22.4 million in February. Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration spokesperson Scott Hardin says sales in January and February increased by $4 million over the same time period last year.
The breakdown provided by the department shows Plant Family Therapeutics of Mountain Home having sold 342.8 pounds in the previous two months. Fiddler’s Green in Mountain View has sold 189.85 pounds.
The Arkansas Department of Health reports 92,337 active patient cards.
Hardin also says state tax collection on medical marijuana totaled $5.3 million for January and February, and $94.7 million in state tax revenue hav been collected since the industry launched in mid-2019.
Natural Relief Dispensary in Sherwood had the largest two-month period with 884 pounds sold while Suite 443 in Hot Springs followed with 856 pounds.
