A fundraiser is coming up for the FFA and FBLA programs at Gainesville High School. The 16th-annual Verne Cubbage Memorial Bass Tournament is scheduled for April 1 at Pontiac Cove Marina on Bull Shoals Lake.
The cost is $100 per two-person team, and the big bass pot is an additional $10. There will be guaranteed cash payouts to the top five teams, and all participants will receive a free gift. The tournament will also include several giveaways, and free meals will be served during the weigh-in.
