A boil water order has been issued for customers in the Alpena Waterworks system.
According to the Arkansas Department of Health, the order has been issued Friday for entire system of Alpena Waterworks due to a broken valve.
A boil water orders for the Brunner Hill Water Association was lifted last Thursday. The order affected approximately 13 customers on Hopewell Hollow Road, west of Highway 177 due to a main break from a lightning strike.
In Newton County a boil water order for customers in the Nail-Swain Water Association community of Limestone was lifted last Thursday. The order was issued due to maintenance related work.
A boil water order remains in effect for the entirety of the Lake Norfork Mountain Lodge system in Baxter County. The order was issued March 22 due to inadequate disinfectant levels.
All affected customers are advised the water may be unsafe for human consumption, and water used for drinking or food preparation must be boiled briskly for one minute prior to use.
All ice cubes should be discarded and only boiled water used for making ice.
