As the first day of early voting wrapped up today at 4:30, Baxter County saw a turn out of 858 voters or 2.8%
The Baxter County Election Commission is reminding county residents there’s only one polling location open for early voting. Chairwoman Lynne Weaver says early voting is only being conducted through Monday from 8 to 4:30 in the second floor courtroom of the Baxter County Courthouse on East Seventh Street, excluding the weekend.
According to Weaver, some citizens have been attempting to cast their ballots at other polling locations that are expected to be open on Election Day next Tuesday. For more information, contact the election commission at 870-580-1060 or the courthouse at 870-425-3475.
