Some NPWA customers under a boil water order until further notice

The Northeast Public Water Authority (NPWA) state several customers near Baypoint Drive are under a boil water order until further notice.

Residents affected include those who live on Baypoint Drive, Pheasant Run Way, Pheasant Run Court, Pheasant Run Terrace, Partridge Drive, Partridge Place, County Road 984, County Road 980, County Road 402, Bay Water Trail, Winter Hill Drive and Blackburn Resort.

The boil water order is result of a contractor who hit a gas line, also causing damage to a nearby water line Thursday afternoon.

All affected customers are advised the water may be unsafe for human consumption, and water used for drinking or food preparation must be boiled briskly for one minute prior to use.

All ice cubes should be discarded and only boiled water used for making ice.
