Howell Co. man faces felony charges after fleeing traffic stop

A Howell County man is facing felony charges after fleeing from deputies during a traffic stop. According to the Howell County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were attempting to conduct a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 160 in Caulfield. The driver, identified as Charles Barrett, failed to yield and continued to travel eastbound.Barrett continued to travel several county roads before deputies positioned and deployed spike strips. After successfully driving over the spike strips, Barrett turned into a private driveway. He was arrested and transported to the Howell County Adult Detention Center. Barrett is facing charges for resisting/interfering with arrest for a felony. He is being held on $25,000 bond.
