A Fulton County woman is facing multiple charges after she fled from police during a traffic stop and then kicked and bit two of them while being taken into custody. Thirty-four-year-old Jessica Ryan Wilkinson of Ash Flat was arrested Friday night after law enforcement were called to her mothers house.
According to the probable cause affidavit in the case, the mother reported Wilkinson was breaking windows at her house. The victim told deputies from the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office and officers from the Salem Police Department she and her daughter had been arguing about her daughters drinking. When Wilkinson started breaking windows, the mother tried to call 911, but Wilkinson allegedly took her mothers phone and broke it.
Wilkinson left the scene by the time officers arrived, but a traffic stop was conducted on her vehicle a short time later. A field sobriety test was conducted along with a portable breath test. When officers told her she was going to be detained for driving while intoxicated, Wilkinson fled on foot.
When officers caught her, Wilkinson allegedly kicked the officers several times and bit two of them.
Wilkinson is facing three felony counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, along with misdemeanor counts of criminal mischief, resisting arrest, fleeing on foot, interference with emergency communications and disorderly conduct. She is free after posting $5,000 bond.
