
Thursday’s basketball schedule includes Mountain Home’s three junior high girls’ teams on the home floor as they take on Harrison. The seventh grade game tips off at 5 followed by the eighth grade and freshman contests.
Mountain Home’s three junior high boys’ teams will also face Harrison, but their games will be on the road. The seventh grade game starts at 4:30, and the eighth grade and freshman contests will follow.
Elsewhere on the junior high level, Yellville-Summit hosts Viola, Melbourne entertains Tuckerman, and Mountain View is home against Cave City.
In high school action, the Anstaff Bank Bev Stone Memorial Border Classic resumes at Omaha. Cotter meets Green Forest for a doubleheader starting with the girls at 4, and the host Lady Eagles play Jasper at 7.
Salem’s girls will be in Walnut Ridge for their first game in the Williams Baptist University High School Tournament. It will be a battle between Lady Greyhounds as Salem is paired with Marmaduke at 5:20.
The Dora girls will take part in the semifinals of the 10th-annual Fordland Invitational Tournament. The Lady Falcons will go up against Mountain Grove at 8:30.
Two area girls’ teams will be in Alma for the start of the Charles B. Dyer Classic. Mammoth Spring meets Greenland at 3:30, and Bergman faces the host Lady Airedales at 6:30.
The Bergman boys will return to Vilonia for the semifinals of the V-Town Showdown. The Panthers take on the host Eagles at 7:45.
Valley Springs’ girls will compete on the opening night of the Benton Holiday Classic. The Lady Tigers play the host Lady Panthers at 7.
In other high school basketball, Norfork travels to Timbo, Flippin hosts Marshall, Calico Rock makes the trip to Greers Ferry to meet West Side, the Bakersfield boys entertain Mammoth Spring, Gainesville’s girls head to Cabool, and Salem is home against Valley Springs for three boys’ games.
