The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents of another scam call. Sheriff Gregg Alexander says his office has received multiple complaints of citizens receiving a call from a person claiming to be a Marion County deputy and telling the residents they missed jury duty.

The caller is allegedly telling victims a warrant will be issued if an undisclosed fine isn’t paid. Sheriff Alexander says deputies will not call a resident about anything related to missing jury duty or being assessed a fine for missing jury duty.

Anyone receiving a similar call is advised to hang up without disclosing any personal information and contact the Marion County Sheriff’s Office at 870-449-4236.
