With the Independence Day holiday approaching, many area residents and visitors look forward to shooting fireworks. The city of Gassville allows fireworks to be shot in the city limits with some changes made to the ordinance in 2022 by the Gassville City Council.
The discharging of fireworks in the city is allowed between June 29 and July 5 every year. The hours are from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. during the majority of the period, but the time extends until midnight July 3 and 4. Fireworks cannot be discharged within 150 feet of any state or U.S. Highway. In addition, they cannot be discharged on a city street. Residents may discharge fireworks from their front yard as long as they are not in a right of way or city street. If Gassville is under a burn ban, fireworks would be prohibited during the period.
